‘I’m Penelope Dale, founder of Weir Creatives.

I’ve worked in marketing for over 15 years. I began my career in luxury fashion in London, organising VIP events, developing global loyalty programmes, and analysing customer behaviour across international markets. I then moved into the wine sector before transitioning into destination marketing ten years ago.

During this time, I’ve seen the travel industry change significantly. Mid-sized brands often struggle to maintain online visibility, while smaller businesses are increasingly forced to take on everything themselves. From operations and sales to marketing and social media. It’s demanding, time-consuming, and can make it difficult for truly special places to stand out. It is this that inspired me to create my own consultancy, to help those who have created an incredible space or destination brand, but need direction when it comes to letting the world know about it.

I’ve launched brands, led teams of photographers and designers, and worked at scale to improve visibility in competitive markets, all while keeping brand values and long-term aims at the core. That experience has shaped my belief that effective marketing isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing the right things, in the right place.’
